For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:21)

Do you ever think about your treasures? What would be on your list? Would it be warmer temps? Would it be your home, your children, or maybe your closet filled to the brim? Would it be actual money or would it be things you've aquired throughout the years?

We are reminded in Matthew that whatever we treasure, that's where our hearts are. Do you treasure your things or the people in your life, more than God? It's quite easy to do, isn't it? It's easy to get caught up with "Keeping up with the Jones'". It's easy to think about your newest purchase instead of really listening during a sermon. It's easy to watch another episode of your favorite show on Netflix instead of reading your Bible.

We all know what Jesus' treasure is. He made it clear every day he walked this earth. You. Me. All sinners. His whole work was to redeem all of us. He loved you more than any earthly possesion. He loved you so much that he gave up heaven to save you. You are so treasured, above measure.

So when thinking about your treasure- where your heart lies- I pray that you see Jesus in the middle of your treasure chest.

Loyal to Christ, Christine
