FAQ
What impact will my gift have?
Imagine the ability to support and encourage the ministry you love. LGP has been carrying out its mission in the USA and Canada since 1954. What you do today can extend the reach of LGP with resources to grow in membership (of girls, ages 5K through high school) and make a positive impact on these girls and their families, churches, and communities.

What kind of gift can I give?
Your thoughtful gift can be given in a variety of ways. You can...
...choose a one-time donation of cash, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or real estate.
...remember LGP in your will and estate plans with a variety of bequests.
...designate LGP as one of the beneficiaries of your retirement accounts or life insurance.
...set up a charitable gift annuity that gives the full amount to LGP, while also providing an income from the gift to you or loved ones for life or a specified number of years.
...contribute any other gift, either current or deferred.
WELS Ministry of Christian Giving with Giving Counselors located around the USA and Canada, stand ready to assist you in discussing these types of gifts. For more information, visit www.wels.net/christiangiving.

How do I give a gift?
After prayerful consideration, please contact Christine Bohn, Executive Director, at 608-781-5232 or girlpioneers@gmail.com for more information on how you can be part of LGP and see your gifts make a difference well into the future!

Qualified Charitable Distributions:  A tax efficient way to support Lutheran Girl Pioneers
Did you know that if you are 70.5 years and older, you can support Lutheran Girl Pioneers by requesting a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from your individual retirement account (IRA) directly to Lutheran Girl Pioneers? Even better, if you are 72 years and older, the QCD will count toward your required minimum distribution!
What’s the tax benefit? Qualified charitable distributions of up to $100,000 per person per year are excluded from your taxable income!  Would you like to learn more? Please contact Karen Martinez at karen.martinez@wels.net or 414-256-3209 to learn how you can make a tax-wise gift to Lutheran Girl Pioneers.
